Is Ao Kiji undercover in Blackbeard’s crew?

Admiral Ao Kiji was always a carefree type of marine from what we saw since the first time he appeared. Wandering around on his bike traveling the seas or hitching rides on a marine ship with another Vice Admiral. In appearance he seems like a free spirit but he was still a marine looking to protect the public sometimes even against orders from the high-ups he deemed unjustified like the mass murder in Ohara. But to think that he would just abandon his justice spirit to become a pirate because he didn’t become the new Marine Fleet Admiral is definitely a bit suspicious. If anything it would be more understandable that he would become a member of the Revolutionary Army to stand against the injustice of the Marine.

The theory that Ao Kiji might be undercover could be considered after the Marine recognized that it was completely duped by Marshall D. Teach Blackbeard and more so that they don’t know anything about his plans. Blackbeard planning was so overwhelming for the Marine that they just didn’t see any of his real actions.

Blackbeard entered Whitebeard in order to obtain one specific fruit, the Yami Yami no mi. After which he took actions to become a Shichibukai (Warlord) recognized by the Marine but only to get authorization to pass through The gate of Justice to get access to Impel Down and breakout powerful new recruits to join his crew. Then somehow he was able to obtain a second devil fruit power and worse the devil power of the strongest man in the world at the time, Whitebeard. Blackbeard went to take over the territory controlled by Whitebeard and became the New Yonkou. He basically replaced Whitebeard in every way through years of planning. The Biggest threat was his declaration made at Marineford to the marine and the World that he was the strongest man alive and that he was going to conquer the World and end the peace time that people were used to.

Considering all that and the fact that they had no idea who he was before his request to become a Shichibukai, the Marine had to take actions to not only get information on Blackbeard but reliable information that helped them take the giant threat down. The only way to do that was to have someone inside Blackbeard’s Crew close to him to get that kind of reliable information.

So the question is: after Ao Kiji and Akainu fight to determine the New Fleet Admiral, what was the real decision made regarding the threat that poses Blackbeard? Could the answer to that question be to have the world think that Ao Kiji resentfully leave the Marine after his defeat to Akainu just so that we would be considered a lone powerhouse wandering the world and eventually putting himself in Blackbeard path in order to be recruited thus becoming a double agent for the Marine just like Corazon was in Doflamingo’s crew. Oda-sensei and time will reveal all of that mystery to us, someday.
